Mulch is not only a great material to decorate your environment, but also a useful product that protects the soil from temperature fluctuations, nourishes and maintains the soil pH.
Mulch protects plant roots from temperature factors. In the summer, it protects plants from overheating of the roots. In the winter and autumn seasons, when the air temperature drops, the mulch layer protects the roots from freezing.
The bark contains natural chemicals that are beneficial to plants. When microorganisms in the soil decompose organic matter, humus is formed, which nourishes the plant.
Mulch also helps retain moisture. When watering plants, it prevents rapid evaporation of water in the soil. It limits soil erosion and runoff.
